The Volksbank Rhein-Lahn eG-Limburg is a regional cooperative bank . It was created by merging Volksbank Rhein-Lahn and United Volksbank Limburg . The business area stretches from Lahnstein in the west via Diez and Limburg to Bad Camberg in the east, from Ellar in the north to Kaub in the south.

history

The beginnings of the merger bank can be dated to December 1, 1860, when the Limburg advance payment association was founded. It represents the early predecessor of the United Volksbank Limburg .

The roots of Volksbank Rhein-Lahn go back to the years 1861 and 1876. In 1861, according to reports, the advance and credit association was founded and in 1876 the Lahnsteiner Volksbank . The Volksbank Rhein-Lahn, which existed from 1999 to 2016, was created after an earlier merger of Volksbank Diez-Nastätten, Volksbank Lahnstein and Raiffeisenbank Lahnstein.

In August 2016, the United Volksbank Limburg merged with Volksbank Rhein-Lahn to form Volksbank Rhein-Lahn-Limburg. The headquarters of the cooperative bank is in Diez.
