Watzling is a small district with about 50 inhabitants in the town of Dorfen in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding , which is about exactly halfway between this town and Lengdorf .

history

The small village was a separate municipality from 1818 until it was incorporated into Dorfen on January 1, 1972. Although Watzling is in the Isental , its area was mainly in the lower Lappach Valley . The hamlets of Berg (formerly the headquarters of the noble v. Lappach), Lindum, Vocking, Parschalling, Lappach and eleven other districts (including five hamlets) belonged to the community. The last population was 370.

In 2001 the citizens of Watzlingen won a community center in a radio competition. A citizen of Watzlingen made his land available for the development. The community center, which also houses the fire station , is managed by an association and used for numerous public and private events.
