The song was written by Hubert Kah , Markus Löhr , Klaus Hirschburger , the latter two musicians from Hubert Kah's band, and Sandra and produced by Michael Cretu . Besides When the Rain Doesn't Come from the 1992 album Close to Seven, this song is the only song that was written or co-written by Sandra herself prior to the 2007 album The Art of Love . We'll Be Together was released in January 1989 as the third single from the album Into a Secret Land . For the single release, the song was remixed and named '89 Remix . The single was a top ten hit in Germany and a top 20 hit in France and Austria.
In 1999, a remix of the song appeared on Sandra's compilation My Favorites . The track was remixed again for their 2006 compilation Reflections .
Music video
The music video was shot by Bulle Bernd in Ibiza (Spain) and in Cannes (France). The clip appeared on Sandra's VHS video compilation 18 Greatest Hits in 1992 and on The Complete History DVD in 2003 .
