Wesot Habracha
Wesot Habracha ( Biblical Hebrew וְזֹאת הַבְּרָכָה 'And this is the blessing' - to be added: Moses ) is a reading section ( Parascha or Sidra ) of the Torah and includes the text Dtn / Dewarim 33–34 (33 EU , 34 EU ).
It is the cider of the Simchat Torah festival.
Essential content
- Before his death, Moses blesses the individual tribes except for the tribe of Simeon .
- God makes him see the whole country.
- Moses dies at the age of 120.
- God himself buries him, nobody knows Moses' grave.
- Israel mourns Moses for 30 days.
- Israel obeys Joshua and carries out all the commands God gave Moses.
- Conclusion of the Pentateuch : "Never again has a prophet like Moses appeared in Israel."
