Mezora
Mezora ( Biblical Hebrew מְצֹרָע 'Leper' ) refers to a reading section (called Parascha or Sidra) of the Torah and includes the text Leviticus / Wajikra 14–15 (14 BHS , 15 BHS ).
It is the cider of the 2nd Shabbat in the month of Nissan or, if connected with Tasria , of the 1st Shabbat in the month of Iyar .
Essential content
- Clarification of what has been healed from leprosy after certain ceremonies with two clean birds
- Shearing off all hair in the body
- Cleansing of clothes, bath and sacrifice, sprinkling of sacrificial blood and oil
- Treatment of "leprosy" on the house and its clarification after similar ceremonies as in humans
- The person whose genitals gave off fluids and who thereby became impure transfers this impurity to beds and devices on which they sit and to people who touch them or their waste. He is declared clean 7 days after the suffering has been healed and after an atoning sacrifice has been made by two doves.
- The woman's regular blood flow contaminates her for seven days, while the irregular flow does not become pure until seven days after the bleeding has stopped. Then accordingly the atonement offering with two pigeons.
