Weston County is a county in the state of Wyoming in the United States . At the 2010 census , Weston County had 7,208 residents. The county seat is Newcastle .

It is bordered clockwise by the counties: Crook County , Lawrence County, South Dakota, Pennington County, South Dakota, Custer County, South Dakota, Niobrara County , Converse County, and Campbell County .

Weston County's population was 6,644 as of the 2000 census . There were 2,624 households and 1,868 families. The population density was 1 person per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 95.94% White, 0.12% African American, 1.26% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, and 0.93% other races Groups; 1.54% were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 2.06% percent of the population.
Of the 2,624 households, 31.10% had children and young people under the age of 18 living with them. 60.40% were married couples living together, 7.30% percent were a single mother, 28.80% were non-families. 25.00% were single households and 11.50% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.88 people.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 24.10% residents under 18 years of age, 7.40% between 18 and 24 years of age, 26.30% between 25 and 44 years of age, and 26.70% between 45 and 64 years of age 15.60% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 103.10 males, and for every 100 females aged 18 and over there were 103.80 males.
