The Teton County is a county in the state of Wyoming of the United States . At the 2010 census , Teton County had 21,294 residents. The county seat is in Jackson . Teton County is the wealthiest county in the United States.

The county covers an area of 10,934 square kilometers; 554 square kilometers of this are water. Teton County is located in the Teton Mountain Range of the same name , a fringe of the Rocky Mountains . The county is bordered in a clockwise direction by the counties: Park County , Fremont County , Sublette County , Lincoln County , Bonneville County, Idaho, Teton County, Idaho , Fremont County (Idaho), and Gallatin County, Montana .

According to the 2000 census , Teton County had a population of 18,251. There were 7,688 households and 4,174 families. The population density was 2 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 93.59% White, 0.15% African American, 0.53% Native American, 0.54% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, and 3.93% other races Groups; 1.22% were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 6.49% percent of the population.
Of the 7,688 households, 25.60% had children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 45.30% were married couples living together, 5.70% percent were a single mother, 45.70% were non-families. 27.30% are single households and 3.70% have someone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.89 people.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 19.90% residents under 18 years of age, 9.80% between 18 and 24 years of age, 38.30% between 25 and 44 years of age, 25.00% between 45 and 64 years of age 6.90% were 65 years of age or over.
