The Sheridan County is a county in the US state of Wyoming . At the 2010 census , the county had 29,116 residents. The county seat is Sheridan .

Sheridan County covers an area of 6,545 square kilometers; 10 square kilometers of this are water. It is bordered clockwise by the counties: Big Horn County (Montana), Powder River County (Montana), Campbell County , Johnson County, and Big Horn County .

The racial the population was composed of 95.88% White, 0.18% African American, 1.27% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, and 0.82% other races Groups; 1.34% were from two or more races.
