Albany County is a county in the state of Wyoming in the United States . At the 2010 census , the county had 36,299 residents. The county seat is Laramie .

The county borders the counties in a clockwise direction: Converse County , Platte County , Laramie County , Larimer County Colorado , Jackson County Colorado, and Carbon County .
