Teton County is a county in the state of Idaho in the United States . The county seat is Driggs .

geography

The county is located in east Idaho, bordering Wyoming , is about 70 kilometers north of Montana and has an area of ​​1,167 square kilometers, of which one square kilometer is water. It is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Fremont County , Madison County, and Bonneville Counties . The county is predominantly characterized by the Teton Range , in the northwest it runs out into the plain of the Snake River Plain .

Teton County was formed on January 26, 1915 from parts of Bingham County, Fremont County and Madison County. It was named after the Teton Mountains .
