Twin Falls County is a county in the state of Idaho in the United States . The county seat is Twin Falls .

geography

The county is located in southern Idaho, bordering Nevada, and has an area of ​​4995 square kilometers, of which nine square kilometers are water. It is bordered in a clockwise direction by the following counties: Gooding County , Jerome County , Cassia County , Owyhee County, and Elmore County . The south of the county is shaped by the Basin and Range region. An extension of the Owyhee Plateau joins them. The north of the county is on the Snake River Plain .

Twin Falls County was formed on February 21, 1907 from parts of Cassia County. It was named after the Snake River falls .

Twin Falls County's population was 64,284 as of the 2000 census . 1,420 of these people lived in collective accommodation, the other residents lived in 23,853 households and 16,959 families.
