Oneida County is a county in the state of Idaho in the United States . The county seat is Malad City .

The county is located in southwest Idaho, borders Utah to the south and has an area of ​​3,112 square kilometers, of which three square kilometers are water. It is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Power County , Bannock County , Franklin County, and Cassia County .

Oneida County was formed as the original county on January 22, 1864. It was named after Oneida Lake in New York .
