The 2004/05 season was the 23rd edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the Women's Premier Ice Hockey League . The league is run by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Chairman's Cup .

Initially, all teams played a simple round with a return leg. The four best reached the semifinals. The last got relegated, the penultimate had to relegation against the best of the 1st division. In the final round, only one game was played between the opponents.

Relegation
In the battle for a place in the highest league, the winners of the main round of both groups of Division I faced each other. The winner of the game then competed against the penultimate of the Premier League. The team Streatham Storm from the southern group was able to prevail and achieved promotion.

Division 1
The Women's National Ice Hockey League is the second tier of the English women 's ice hockey league after the Premier League. Division 1 is the highest class in it. It is divided into two regional groups. A double round was played in the north group and a single round in the south group.
