The 2006/07 season was the 25th edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the Women's Premier Ice Hockey League . The league is run by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Bill Britton Memorial Trophy .

Initially, all teams played a simple round with a return leg. The four best reached the semifinals. The last had to be relegated to the best in the 1st division. In the final round, only one game was played between the opponents.

Relegation
In the battle for a place in the highest league, the winners of the main round of both groups of Division I faced each other. The winner of the game then competed against the last-placed Premier League. The Billingham Wildcats from the northern group were able to prevail and achieved the rise.

Division 1
The Women's National Ice Hockey League is the second tier of the English women 's ice hockey league after the Premier League. Division 1 is the highest class in it. It is divided into three regional groups.
