Wróblin (German Frauendorf ) is a district of the independent city of Opole ( Opole ) in the Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Wróblin is about four kilometers north of downtown Opole on the right bank of the Oder .

Wróblin lies in the Nizina Śląska ( Silesian Plain ) within the Pradolina Wrocławska ( Wroclaw Glacial Valley ). The Opole – Jelcz-Laskowice railway runs east of the village . The state road Droga krajowa 46 and Droga wojewódzka 454 also run through the village . The Obwodnica Czarnowąsów bypass, which was opened in 2018, runs west of the village .

Wróblin borders in the north on Czarnowanz (Polish: Czarnowąsy ), east Krzanowitz ( Krzanowice ) and south Zakrzów ( Sakrau ).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1223 as "Wroblino". In 1319 the place was mentioned as "Wrovindorf". In 1531 the place is mentioned as Frauendorff .

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia which belonged rural community Frauendorf from 1816 to district Opole in the administrative district of Opole . In 1845 there was a shipyard, a smithy and 52 houses in the village. In the same year, 335 people lived in Frauendorf, six of them Jewish. In 1855 there were 331 people living in the village. In 1865 the village had 18 farmers, 8 gardeners, 13 farmers and 20 residents. The residents were schooled in Czarnowanz. In 1874 the administrative district of Czarnowanz was founded, which consisted of the rural communities Borrek, Czarnowanz, Frauendorf and Krzanowitz and the manor districts of Czarnowanz Domain and Krzanowitz Domain. In 1885 Frauendorf had 498 inhabitants. In 1899, Königlich Sackrau from the district of Opole was incorporated into the city of Opole .

In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 339 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 141 for Poland. Frauendorf remained with the German Empire. In 1933 there were 1352 inhabitants. On April 1, 1937, the rural community was Erlengrund incorporated for female village. In 1939 the place had 1,444 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Opole .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration, was renamed Wróblin and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1975 the place was incorporated into the city of Opole.
