The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry [ 'zvʲɔzɛk prɔdu't͡sɛntuf' awdʲɔ vʲi'dɛɔ ] "ZPAV" (Eng .: composite audio and video producers ) is a Polish development company of the producers, the rights represented by the recordings made in Poland . The chairman of the ZPAV is Andrzej Puczyński.
The collecting society was founded in July 1991 by musicians , music producers and journalists in order to be able to represent their rights. In addition, the ZPAV is the Polish section of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
Music charts
Since October 2000 the ZPAV has published the weekly album charts in Poland (short: OLiS ; German official list of sales). These are regularly published as the top 50. From February 2010 to December 2012, the ZPAV also published the monthly top 100 of the album charts. The top 100 annual charts of the albums have also been published since 2009.
In addition to the album charts, the weekly airplay charts have been published as Top 5 by the ZPAV since March 2010. Until September 2013 these were analyzed by Nielsen Music. BMAT has been doing this since September 2013. The Airplaycharts have been published as the Top 20 since October 2013. Since November 16, 2015, the top 100 of the airplay charts have been published.
Limits to the award of phonograms
Since February 1995, the music awards in Poland have been awarded by the ZPAV. Streams have been counted as sales since April 3, 2014.
Albums
Since the beginning, the gold and platinum awards for albums have been divided into foreign and domestic records, with different award limits. Since July 1, 2005, albums from the genres of serious music , jazz and blues have been given their own awards, as albums from the music fields rarely reach the general award limits. The first gold record was the album Marysia Biesiadna by Maryla Rodowicz , the first platinum record was the album Three Tenors Live by The Three Tenors . The first diamond record was awarded in July 2000 for the album Kayah i Bregović by Goran Bregović and Kayah . 2,500 streamed songs from an album correspond to a purchased album.

Singles
Since August 2015, the first record awards for singles have been given in Poland, until then these sales were added to the albums. 250 streamed songs correspond to a single sold. Since March 1, 2017, a certain amount of sales in złoty has also been sufficient for the presentation of record awards.

Fryderyk
The ZPAV has been awarding the Fryderyk , the most important Polish music prize, every year since 1994 . The first award ceremony took place in 1995.
