Central American and Caribbean Games 1938
The 4th Central American and Caribbean Games took place from February 5 to 24, 1938 in the Panamanian capital, Panama City . The athletes from Mexico , Panama and Cuba each won 24 gold medals.
Participating Nations
Ten countries with a total of 1151 athletes took part in the Central America and Caribbean Games. This included two South American delegations for the first time, Venezuela and Colombia.

The Central American and Caribbean Games featured 18 sports. Art competitions and competitions in modern pentathlon and chess were also held to accompany the games .
