Central American and Caribbean Games 1950
The 6th Central American and Caribbean Games took place from February 25 to March 12, 1950 in the Guatemalan capital Guatemala City . Mexico was the most successful nation with 43 gold medals ahead of Cuba , whose athletes won gold 24 times.

14 countries with a total of 1390 athletes took part in the Central America and Caribbean Games. Haiti made its debut.

The Central America and Caribbean Games featured 19 sports. Bowling was part of the program for the first time, while horse riding was brought back into the program. Softball and pelota , however, were deleted.
