Ziegelhütte is a district of the market Dachsbach in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim .

Geographical location

The wilderness is deeply embedded in the valley of the Kümmelbach between Neustadt and Höchstadt at the southern foot of the Steigerwald towards the Aisch valley . It is located in the middle of an extensive water and landscape protection area . A municipal road (Brunnenstrasse) leads to Rauschenberg to the NEA 14 district road (0.7 km northwest).

history

Ziegelhütte is first mentioned in a document around 1750. A much earlier settlement can be assumed, however. The name is derived from the early medieval production of mud bricks , which were simply dried in the sun here. With the water of the Kümmelbach always available in abundance, the crack-free drying process of the Latvian blanks could be mastered perfectly. Even today, there are huge and single-variety gray clay deposits on the notched slopes of the brook valley, but they are no longer exploited. Ziegelhütte has been family-owned since 1877. During and after the two world wars, temporary billeting has been handed down that led to a brief population explosion in Ziegelhütte in 1950.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the brickworks belonged to Rauschenberg . The estate had the Rauschenberg manor as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the brickworks was given house number 52 in Rauschenberg.

As part of the community edict, Ziegelhütte was assigned to the Rauschenberg tax district, formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the Rauschenberg rural community . Until 1848 the property was subject to voluntary jurisdiction and the local police to the Rauschenberg Patrimonial Court . On January 1, 1972, Ziegelhütte was incorporated into Dachsbach as part of the regional reform .

religion

The place has been Evangelical Lutheran since the Reformation. The inhabitants of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish after St. Nikolaus and Peter (Oberhöchstädt) .

today

Today, a pumping station is located in Ziegelhütte, which ensures the water supply to Rauschenberg from the two deep wells further west in the Kümmeltal. A powerful solar system contributes to the environmentally friendly generation of electricity. The residents occupy themselves to a small extent with part-time farming, as well as the breeding of Arab horses and car tuning.

The Rauschenberg sewage treatment plant has been located directly southeast of Ziegelhütte since the late 1970s, and its treated wastewater flows into the Kümmelbach, which then feeds around a dozen ponds and other deep wells before it flows into the Aisch near Gerhardshofen .
