The Zita Rock Festival was an open air - music festival in the Spandau Citadel . It has been held annually in May or June since 2007. Until 2009 there was one day of the event, in 2010 and 2011 there were two days each, the motto of the festival in those years was "Zita Rock & Folk Festival" , the bands were thematically divided into the rock-heavy first and the folk-heavy second day of the festival. In 2012 it was cut back to one day.
On January 2, 2013, the organizer announced that they would not hold another Zita Rock Festival for the time being. The reason for this were problems in getting an appealing lineup up and running. The festival was organized by the organizers of the Amphi Festival .
