Medvode ( German : Zwischenwässern ) is a municipality in the Gorenjska region in Slovenia .
geography
The municipality of Medvode lies at the mouth of the river Sora in the Save on a narrow breakdown between the Šmarna Gora ( United Kahlenberg ) and the low mountain range of Polhov Gradec ( Polhograjsko hills are ). It is located at an altitude of 313 m. ü. A. between the capital Ljubljana in the south-east and Kranj in the north-west, both of which are about 12 km away.
