(7026) Gabrielasilang is an asteroid located in the inner main belt . It was discovered on August 19, 1983 by the American astronomer Eleanor Helin at the Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California . The asteroid had already been sighted on August 22, 1976 under the provisional designation 1976 QX 1 at the La Silla Observatory in Chile and on April 25, 1979 at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj (1979 HC 5 ).

The mean diameter of the asteroid was calculated to be 2.936 (± 0.076) km and the albedo to be 0.356 (± 0.063).

Mean solar distance ( major semi-axis ), eccentricity and inclination of the orbit plane of the asteroid roughly resemble the orbital data of the members of the Flora family, a large group of asteroids named after (8) Flora . Asteroids of the Flora family move in a 4: 9 orbital resonance with the planet Mars around the sun . The group is also called the Ariadne family after the asteroid (43) Ariadne .

(7026) Gabrielasilang was named on November 8, 2019 after Gabriela Silang (1731–1763), the first Filipino woman to lead a revolt during the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. The Venus crater Gabriela, on the other hand, was named in 1994 after the Hebrew first name Gabriela .
