Ørslev Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Ringsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Ringsted Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which became part of the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of local government reform .

891 inhabitants live in the parish, 682 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Ørslev Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are in the west Sneslev Sogn , in the northwest Farendløse Sogn and in the north Nordrupøster Sogn , further in the northeast neighboring Køge municipality Gørslev Sogn and in the neighboring Faxe municipality in the southeast Terslev Sogn and in the south Øde Førslev Sogn .
