(6984) Lewiscarroll is an asteroid of the outer main belt , on 4 January 1994 by the Japanese astronomer Hitoshi Shiozawa and Takeshi Urata at the Observatory of Fujieda ( IAU code 898) in the Japanese prefecture of Shizuoka was discovered.
The asteroid was on 2 February 1999 by the British writers of the Victorian era , photographer , mathematician and Deacon Lewis Carroll named (1832-1898), of the children's books Alice in Wonderland , Alice Through the Looking Glass (or Alice Through the Looking Glass ) and The Hunting of the Snark .
