15 years of German rock & scandals ( spelling 15 years of German rock & SKAndale ) is the eleventh studio album by Frei.Wild , the German rock band from Brixen in the Italian province of Bolzano-South Tyrol on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the band's existence. According to the band, this is not an official studio album. It was released on July 29, 2016 on the Rookies & Kings label .
Music style and content
The album belongs to the German rock genre. In addition, Ska and Reggae elements are included.
Cover design
The album cover is black and white with golden tones. In the middle is a skull wearing a hat. This is surrounded by a laurel wreath , with the individual bay leaves connected by barbed wire. Below the skull is the title of the album 15 Years of German Rock & SKAndale . The typical Frei.Wild lettering is in the upper right corner of the picture.

15 Years Deutschrock & Skandale entered the German charts at number 2 in the 31st calendar week of 2016 and stayed in the top 100 for nine weeks. The album also reached number 2 in the Swiss charts, while it was number 3 in Austria.
Sales figures and awards
For more than 100,000 units sold, 15 Jahre Deutschrock & Skandale received a gold record in Germany in June 2018 .
Trivia
On July 30, 2016, one day after the album release, an open-air concert took place in Berlin on the Kindl stage in Wuhlheide , where all concert-goers were given the album at a booth. The 20,000 units given away were not taken into account when determining the chart position.
Music videos
A video for the song 15 Years was released on February 5, 2016 . On the day of the album release a music video entitled Yeah Yeah Yeah (May I ask Lady?) Was released, in which the band members were edited into old Bud Spencer and Terence Hill films.

Manuel Berger from laut.de rated the album with three out of a possible five points. 15 years of Deutschrock & Skandale is “qualitatively in the middle of the discography, is superbly produced, it gets louder and quieter, you eagerly thank the fans, look back on your career and still make a statement about where you stand today. “It is“ relaxed music for in between ”, although the sometimes“ flat ”lyrics would be a bit annoying.
