The Second Division 1942/43 was the 27th season of the second highest Belgian division in men's football . It began in September 1942 and ended in May 1943.

mode

The competition kept its format with two groups, but this time with 31 teams. Participants were the clubs in places 2 to 14 last season, as well as the four promoted teams from the third division . In addition there was RFC Union Huy, which had to sit out the previous year due to personnel concerns.

The game was played in two groups of 16 and 15 clubs respectively. Each team played against each other twice in the first half of the season. The first two in the table rose to the first division , while the last two were relegated to the third division.
