The 18 clubs played against each other twice on a total of 34 match days, divided into a first and a second half.
The 34 game days were divided into three stages: (1 to 10, 11 to 22 and 23 to 34). The table first and champion rose directly. The second promoted team was determined in a play-off round with four teams. The respective winners of the three stages as well as the penultimate of the First Division took part. If the champion or another club had won more than one stage, the general ranking was used.
The last was relegated directly to the third division , the penultimate had to relegation.
