Roman Empire
- Caesar Maximinus Daia is proclaimed Roman emperor ( augustus ) by his troops . This appointment is not recognized.
- Domitius Alexander , who is 308 in Africa to counter the Emperor has declared, is the praetorian prefect Gaius Ceionius Rufius Volusianus beaten.
- Caesar Konstantin travels to Colonia Agrippina (today: Cologne ) and has the first permanent bridge over the Rhine built there, which connects the city with the Divitia fort in front (today: Cologne-Deutz ).
- The former emperor Maximian , who fell out with his son, the usurper Maxentius , reappoints himself as the anti-emperor in Gaul . However, he is arrested by his own soldiers soon afterwards and Caesar is handed over to Constantine, who forces him to commit suicide.
