Roman Republic
- According to tradition, Kaeso Fabius Vibulanus from the patrician family of the Fabians became consul of the Roman Republic together with Lucius Aemilius Mamercus .

- Gelon , the tyrant of Syracuse belonging to the Deinomeniden family , destroys the city of Kamarina in a campaign and relocates its population to Syracuse.
