- After the death of her grandson, King Theuderic II in Metz , the regent Brunichild made his son, the ten-year-old Sigibert II , king of Austrasia and Burgundy .
- Merovingian fratricidal war : Chlothar II of Neustria invades the area of Brunichild, Queen of Austrasia and Burgundy , on the advice of Pippin the Elder and Arnulf of Metz .
