Achim Kubinski (born July 13, 1951 in Stuttgart ; † December 17, 2013 in Berlin ) was a German artist , composer and gallery owner .

childhood and education

Kubinski received piano lessons as a child and set German poetry to music as a teenager ( Ingeborg Bachmann , Hugo von Hofmannsthal , Gottfried Benn ). In 1967 he founded the band The Bloody Souls in Tübingen with three classmates and acted as solo guitarist. His bandmates were Andreas Härlin (guitar and vocals), Stefan Lecomte (bass) and Uli Homann (drums). In 1969, at the age of eighteen, he showed his first solo exhibition at the Tangente Gallery in Tübingen. 1970 Performance of Ingeborg Bachmann's songs Zimmertheater Tübingen.

He studied German and philosophy in Tübingen (1971–1978) and painting and art history at the Stuttgart Art Academy .

In 1976 he opened "Olgastrasse 109" (initially a private art school) and started the project with the fictional artists Bruges, Stefan Ravena and Angelika Wiesenthal. 1977 with the group "famili" with Angelika Wiesenthal, Christian Brügge ( Michael Simon ), Stefan Ravena, Platino & HF Müller. Tour with the performance in the USA (1978): Washington (Washart), New York (Prince Street 123), Hetzler Galerie Stuttgart. 1979 Both Angelika Wiesenthal and Christian Brügge win the youth art award. Performances at Art Cologne . 1980 Solo exhibition at the Museum Wolfsburg von Wiesenthal, Bruges. Exhibition at the Kunstverein Stuttgart by Angelika Wiesenthal. Completion of the project with the fictional artist in (Wiesenthal / Brugge / Ravena) in the Munich Art Space (1982).
