Career
In the club
Traoré moved from CE l'Hospitalet to the FC Barcelona youth academy at the age of eight . On October 6, 2013 Traore played his first second division game for FC Barcelona B when he came in the 86th minute for Frank Bagnack in the game. The following month he made his debut for the senior team at the age of 17. By substituting in the Primera División game against Granada CF, he was the club's ninth-youngest league debutant at the time. In the 2013/14 season he won the first edition of the UEFA Youth League with the U19s .
On August 14, 2015 it was announced that Traoré would be sold for a € 10 million transfer from Barcelona to the English club Aston Villa , where he signed a five-year contract. After a season marked by injuries with only ten short appearances, Traoré moved to Middlesbrough FC the following year for a transfer fee of 8.5 million euros . There he finally made his breakthrough, with five goals and ten assists , especially in the second year after relegation to the Football League Championship - England's second highest division .
In the summer of 2018, Traoré moved again within England for a transfer fee of 20 million euros from Middlesbrough to Wolverhampton Wanderers , which meant a record transfer fee for both clubs.
In the national team
With Spain he reached the semi-finals at the U19 European Championship in Lithuania in 2013 . He was a substitute in all four games.
