Adolf Leiber

Adolf Linus Leiber (born September 23, 1808 in Möhringen ; † September 29, 1885 in Karlsruhe ) was a lawyer and official member of the Baden civil service since 1833 , comparable to today's district administrator . Leiber was of the Catholic faith.

Adolf Leiber was the son of farmer Joseph Leiber (* October 23, 1773; † November 13, 1843), a spinning mill owner and mayor of Möhringen, and also a district auditor . He married Stephanie Julia née Haas, daughter of the trader Haas in Schliengen , around 1845/46 . There were six children from this marriage: Adolf Hermann (born June 27, 1847 in Waldkirch ), Theodor (born October 29, 1854 in Säckingen ), Julie (* in Bruchsal ; † 1922 in Freiburg im Breisgau ), Ida (* in Bruchsal; † February 7, 1924 in Karlsruhe), Anna (born January 1, 1861 in Bruchsal; † 1939 in Karlsruhe) and Stefanie (* in Bruchsal; † at the age of 13).

education

Adolf Leiber attended the Lyceum in Freiburg im Breisgau, where he graduated from high school in 1826 . He then studied law from the winter semester 1827/28 to the summer semester 1831 at the University of Freiburg . From July 1, 1832, he became a volunteer at the Ettlingen district office and from November 1, 1832 at the Karlsruhe police station . He then continued his traineeship at the Princely Fürstenberg District Office in Möhringen from December 12, 1832 , and from March 17, 1833 became an assistant at the court attorney and tax attorney Zentner in Freiburg.

Outside employment

In 1861 Leiber was appointed commissioner for the management of the negotiations on the drainage and irrigation systems in the districts of Bruchsal, Philippsburg , Wiesloch and Schwetzingen .
