The women's 5000-meter run at the 2019 African Games took place on August 26th at the Stade Moulay Abdallah in Rabat .

17 runners from 13 countries took part in the competition. The gold medal was won by Lilian Kasait Rengeruk with 15: 33.63 min, silver went to Hawi Feysa with 15: 33.99 min and the bronze medal was won by Alemitu Tariku with 15: 37.15 min.
