Al Ahram International 2016

The Al Ahram International 2016 took place from September 19-23 , 2016 in Giza , Egypt . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2016/17 and belonged to the PSA 100 rating category . The women's squash tournament was part of the women's PSA World Tour 2016/17 and also belonged to the PSA 100 rating category . The competitions were held in front of the Giza pyramids .

The fields of participants in the men's and women's competition consisted of 16 players each, four of which were intended for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Youssef Soliman in the men's and Nour El Tayeb a spot in the main draw in the women each.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 100,000 each.
