Albrecht von Schlieckmann

Albrecht Heinrich Carl von Schlieckmann (born August 28, 1835 in Magdeburg , † May 15, 1891 in Königsberg (Prussia) ) was a German administrative lawyer who was last President of East Prussia.

Life

Schlieckmann was the son of the lawyer Dr. jur. utr. Heinrich Schlieckmann , who was raised to the Prussian nobility on July 5, 1834 as the royal Prussian judicial councilor in Magdeburg . He attended high school in Schulpforta and studied law at the universities of Heidelberg , Berlin and Breslau . In 1855 he became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . 1857 Dr. iur. et phil. in the same year he became an auscultator in Wroclaw . In 1862 he became court assessor, in 1864 district administrator of the Querfurt district , in 1876 senior government councilor and department director in the government in Gumbinnen . He was also a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony .

Further stations in his career were: 1878 Deputy Police President in Berlin, 1879 District President in Gumbinnen, 1881 Undersecretary of State in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior. In 1882 he was Oberpräsident in East Prussia , based in Kaliningrad. He also acted as curator of the Albertus University in Königsberg and was a member of the Prussian State Council .

From 1878 to 1881 and from 1884 to 1891 Albrecht von Schlieckmann belonged to the Reichstag as a German-Conservative representative for the Reichstag constituency of Gumbinnen 1 .

Schlieckmann was the owner of the Kleineichstädt manor .
