Albrecht Wilhelm Joachim Gottfried von Schroeder (born June 18, 1833 in Körlin an der Persante ; † October 11, 1910 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Albrecht was the eldest son of the Prussian major Friedrich Wilhelm von Schroeder (1796–1873) and his wife Auguste, née Ventzki (1812–1890). His younger brother August (1842-1915) also became major general.

Military career

After attending the high school in Kolberg and the cadet houses in Kulm and Berlin , Schroeder was transferred to the 14th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army on April 27, 1850 as a characterized portepee ensign . By mid-February 1852 he was promoted to secondary lieutenant and completed the general war school from October 1855 to June 1859 for further training . On August 24, 1859 he was appointed regimental adjutant and in this capacity he was transferred to the 7th Pomeranian Infantry Regiment No. 54 in Kolberg on July 1, 1860 . Schroeder rose to prime lieutenant in early September 1860 and was in command as adjutant of the 6th Infantry Brigade from December 1861 . With the promotion to captain and the appointment to company commander , he resigned on May 22, 1864 in the troop service. During the German War , Schroeder led the 7th Company in the battles near Gitschin and Königgrätz and received a commendation for his behavior on September 20, 1866.

On February 18, 1867, Schroeder was commanded to teach at the war school in Hanover under the position of his regiment à la suite . He died unmarried on October 11, 1910 in Berlin.
