Alexander Morsey
Alexander Morsey (born December 11, 1973 in Münster , Westphalia ) is a German jazz musician ( double bass , also tuba , composition ).
Live and act
Morsey, who was successful several times with Jugend jazzt , became a member of the State Youth Jazz Orchestra NRW and later the Federal Jazz Orchestra . From 1995 to 2000 he studied at the Folkwang University of Applied Sciences in Essen with Gunnar Plümer and John Goldsby , where he then taught. In 2006/07 he took over the musical direction of “Shockheaded Peter” at the Münster City Theater .
Morsey completed international tours and guest performances with Matthias Schriefl's bands Shreefpunk and Six, Alps & Jazz . He was also a member of Un Tango Más , the group Disguise and Jan Klares Formationen 7 and The Dorf . He has recorded more than 20 CDs with these and other bands. He also worked with Clark Terry , Herb Geller , Ack van Rooyen , Norma Winstone , Uli Beckerhoff , Silvia Droste , Wolfgang Engstfeld , Wolfgang Schlüter , Leszek Zadlo , Wolfgang Lackerschmid , Stefanie Schlesinger , Peter Rühmkorf , Christian Brockmeier , Susanne Riemer and Ulita Knaus .
