Alexis Saelemaekers (born June 27, 1999 in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe ) is a Belgian football player who is under contract with the Italian club AC Milan . He has been a member of the Belgian U21 national team since 2018 .

Career

Saelemaekers was in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe / Sint-Agatha-Berchem, just outside the capital, Brussels born and began his career at Verbroedering Beersel-Drogenbos from about 15 kilometers away Beersel in the Flemish province of Flemish Brabant . In 2011 he switched to the RSC Anderlecht football school . In October 2017, the young player received his first professional contract with the Belgian capital club. On February 16, 2018 Saelemaekers made his league debut in the away game against VV St. Truiden .

At the end of January 2020, it was loaned to AC Milan for the rest of the season with a subsequent purchase option . This option was drawn at the end of June 2020. Saelemaekers received a contract until 2024.
