Franck Yannick Kessié (born December 19, 1996 in Ouragahio , Gôh-Djiboua ) is an Ivorian football player . The midfielder has been with the Italian first division club AC Milan since 2017 and is a national player .

Career

In the club

Kessié played for the Stella Club Adjamé in his youth . In January 2015, the Italian first division team Atalanta Bergamo signed him on loan for six months, which Kessié spent in the local youth department. In April 2015 he was in the professional squad of the Nerazzurri for the first time in the 1-1 draw against AS Roma , but was not used. Atalanta Bergamo signed Kessié after his loan from the Stella Club Adjamé and took him into the professional field. He was to match practice to get to the second division season 2015/16 to the AC Cesena awarded. For Cesena, Kessié made 36 games during the season and scored four goals.

For the season 2016/17 returned Kessie back to Atalanta. In his first competitive game for Atalanta, the 3-0 cup win over US Cremonese on August 13, 2016 in the 3rd round of the Coppa Italia 2016/17 , he also scored his first goal for Atalanta in a competitive game. Just a week later, at the start of the season, Kessié scored two goals on his Serie A debut in a 3-4 loss to Lazio .

In the national team

Kessié played for the U-17 national team of the Ivory Coast all five games at the U-17 World Cup 2013 and led the team as captain to the quarter-finals . There they were defeated by Argentina with 1: 2, although Kessié scored his second tournament goal with the connection goal.

On September 6, 2014 Kessie came with 17 years to his first race for the Ivorian senior team when he at 2: 1 win over Sierra Leone in qualifying for the African Cup of 2015 was in the starting. In October and November he played three more games, but missed more games and the African Championship. In June 2015, Kessié was nominated for a friendly match against the Gabonese selection , but was not used. It was not until mid-2016 that Kessié was used again in the friendly against Hungary and Gabon.
