Lakeside is a place in the Upper Styria and local situation of the community Traboch than on Seeanger local situation of local chambers in the Liesingtal and as Trabocherstraße local situation of Sankt Peter-Freienstein , all in Leoben District of Styria .

The place is about 7½ kilometers west of Leoben , 1 km south of Edling , 2 km north of Traboch im Liesingtal , 3 km west of St. Peter-Freienstein, 7 km east of Kammern.

The location is where the Veitscher Graben enters the Trofaiach Basin coming from the Liesingtal . The B115 Eisen Straße runs through the village .

The place includes the houses on the north side of the Trabocher lake , on the Veitscherwald and towards St. Peter-Freienstein.

Of these, about 10 houses are located directly on the lake, these are the localities Am See von Traboch.
Another small group of houses with 10 houses Am Seeanger , north above towards Edling, is located in the municipality of Kammerner and is statistically recorded for statistical reasons near Glarsdorf (3½ km northwest behind the Veitscherwald).
The chambers also have some lake ground, the building of the Trabochersee leisure center is built on the municipal boundary.
East on the road to St. Peter-Freienstein, Trabocherstraße , the new settlement area extends, which now includes around 50 houses, one of which is in the Trabocher municipality and in St. Peter-Freienstein with the street names (but not addresses) Greimerweg , Strasserweg and Wirnsbergerweg . There the houses south of the street belong to Traidersberg , north of the street to Hessenberg .

history

In 1968 a reservoir was built here on the Veitscherbach , which had regularly overflowed its banks (as in 1889, 1938, 1946). From then on it was also used as a bathing lake. As a result, a number of holiday homes were built, the building sites at the lake were traded for 60 schillings per m³ at the time.

In the more recent years, further building sites were identified in the municipality of St. Peter-Freienstein, as a result of which the settlement area expanded significantly to the east.

Infrastructure

The Trabochersee leisure center is located in the village, with numerous leisure facilities (pedal boat rental, tennis, mini golf, ice sports).
