Amphoe Na Yia ( Thai : อำเภอ นา เยีย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Ubon Ratchathani . The province of Ubon Ratchathani is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from north): the Amphoe Sawang Wirawong , Phibun Mangsahan , Det Udom and Warin Chamrap of Ubon Ratchathani Province.

history

Na Yia was first established on May 31, 1993 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the area from the Det Udom district .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Na Chan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา จาน ) consists of parts of the Tambon Na Yia.
  • Na Rueang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา เรือง ) consists of the entire tambon Na Rueang.
  • Na Yia (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา เยีย ) consists of the remaining parts of the Tambon Na Yia.

There is also a " Tambon Administrative Organization " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organization, TAO):

  • Na Di (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นาดี )
