Amphoe Det Udom ( Thai : อำเภอ เดชอุดม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of the Ubon Ratchathani Province . The province of Ubon Ratchathani is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from northwest): the Amphoe Samrong , Warin Chamrap , Na Yia , Phibun Mangsahan , Buntharik , Na Chaluai , Nam Yuen , Nam Khun and Thung Si Udom of the province of Ubon Ratchathani, and Amphoe Benchalak of the province of Si Sa Ket .
