Amphoe Na Chaluai ( Thai : อำเภอ นาจะหลวย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of Ubon Ratchathani Province . The province of Ubon Ratchathani is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Amphoe Na Chaluai borders the following counties (clockwise from the west): Amphoe Nam Yuen , Det Udom and Buntharik in the province of Ubon Ratchathani, as well as the Laotian province of Champasak .

The National Park Phu Chong Na Yoi is located in the district.

An important water resource is the Dom Yai River .

history

Na Chaluai was initially set up as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) on February 1, 1972 , by separating the three tambon Na Chaluai, Phon Sawan and Non Sombun from the Amphoe Det Udom . On April 12, 1977 it was promoted to Amphoe.

Na Chaluai County is divided into six tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 74 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Phu Chong Na Yoi (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ภู จอง นาย อย ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Na Chaluai.
  • Na Chaluai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาจะหลวย ), consisting of the remaining parts of the Tambon Na Chaluai.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Non Sombun (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โนน สมบูรณ์ )
  • Phon Sawan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล พรสวรรค์ )
  • Ban Tum (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้าน ตูม )
  • Sok Saeng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โสก แสง )
  • Non Sawan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โนน สวรรค์ )
