Andrei Nikolajewitsch Sergejew ( Russian Андрей Николаевич Сергеев ; born March 26, 1991 in Simferopol , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Dynamo Moscow from the Continental Hockey League (KHL) since May 2020 and is in the position there of the defender plays.
Career
Andrei Sergejew began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2007 to 2009 . In parallel, he played in the 2008/09 season for the professional team of Neftjanik Leninogorsk in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. In the following season , the defender ran again in the Wysschaja Liga, but this time for Ariada-Akpars Wolschsk . The rest of the time he spent for Neftechimik's junior team Reaktor in the junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . For the professional team of Neftechimik, he was also in a single game in the Continental Hockey League on the ice.
The 2010/11 season Sergeev spent mostly in the MHL in the junior team of Neftechimik, while he was only sporadically in the squad of the KHL team. In January 2011 he moved within the KHL to HK CSKA Moscow , for whose junior team Krasnaja Armija he was also active in the MHL.
In January 2013, Sergejew was loaned to Amur Khabarovsk before he moved to HK Spartak Moscow in May of the same year . After the 2013/14 season, Spartak withdrew from match operations and his contract was initially taken over by SKA Saint Petersburg . Shortly before the start of the season, in August 2014, the SKA handed it over to HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk . There he acted as assistant captain and scored 20 points scorer in the 2014/15 season before returning to the SKA on May 27, 2015 in return for payment of compensation. On the same day it was handed over to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk. The defender was active there for a total of five seasons until the summer of 2020 before moving to HK Dynamo Moscow .
International
For Russia , Sergejew took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2009 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2011 . He and his team won the silver medal at the U18 World Cup and the gold medal at the U20 World Cup. He contributed to winning the title at the 2011 U20 World Cup with one goal in seven games. He also played with the Russian student selection at the Winter Universiade 2011 in Erzurum , Turkey , where the title was won by beating the Belarusian students in the final.
