The Anglican Church of Korea is a member church of the Anglican Communion . It consists of three dioceses and has around 65,000 members.
It goes back to missionary work from England, which began in the late 19th century. In 1965 the first local bishop was ordained. In 1993 the Archbishop of Canterbury provided her with her own primate based in Seoul and thus granted her independence. The current primate is the South Korean Paul Kim Keun-sang .
