Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea
The Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea is a member church of the Anglican Fellowship and is limited to the eastern half of the island of New Guinea .
It counts 166,046 believers here, which makes up 3.2% of the total population. The church , headed by the Archbishop of Papua New Guinea as primate , is divided into 5 dioceses (Aipo Rongo, Dogura, New Guinea Islands, Popondota, Port Moresby ) and at the beginning of 2002 had 118 parishes with 173 priests.
The Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea has no ordination of women .
