Episcopal Church of the Philippines
The Episcopal Church of the Philippines ( English Episcopal Church in the Philippines ) is a member church of the Anglican Communion in the Philippines and has its origins in the colonization of the largely Catholic country by the Americans in 1898. Like other Anglican churches, it is also in communion with the Utrecht Union of Old Catholic Churches .
Already with native since 1963 bishops appointed, the Episcopal Church was founded in 1990 to an autonomous province with today six dioceses (Central Philippines , North Central Philippines, Northern Luzon , Northern Philippines, Santiago and Southern Philippines), headed by the Primate of the Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines (First Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the Philippines), which does not have its own diocese .
