Church of the Province of Central Africa
The Church of the Province of Central Africa is a member church of the Anglican Community and extends over the Central African states of Botswana , Malawi , Zambia and Zimbabwe . The organization based in Mzuzu was founded in 1955.
The church's more than 600,000 believers live in 15 dioceses (Botswana, Central Zambia, Central Zimbabwe, East Zambia, Harare, Lake Malawi, Luapula, Lusaka, Manicaland, Masvingo, Matabeleland, North Malawi, North Zambia, South Malawi, South Malawi - Upper Shire) with 250 parishes and around 400 Priests. The Primate of the Church is the Archbishop of Central Africa, who is also one of the Diocesan Bishops.
The Church of the Province of Central Africa is a member of the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC). She does not practice women's ordination .
