Annemarie Marks-Rocke (born December 7, 1901 in Mannheim ; † August 8, 2004 in Hamburg-Eppendorf ) was a German actress , radio play speaker and acting teacher.

Life

Annemarie Marks-Rocke founded a private drama school together with her husband, the actor Eduard Marks , which was to form the core of the drama department when the state school for music and theater in Hamburg was founded in 1940. In 1950 this institution became the University of Music and Theater . Annemarie Marks-Rocke worked as a professor at these institutions for a total of 30 years as an acting teacher. Her prominent students include Ingrid Andree , Margit Carstensen , Kirsten Dene , Peter Striebeck and Isabella Vértes-Schütter , the director of the Ernst Deutsch Theater Hamburg.

In film and television Annemarie Marks-Rocke was, however, rarely seen, as parent Benno Hoffmann in the ARD - Glücksspirale and the consequential television series Home Sweet Home . Annemarie Marks-Rocke was buried, just like her husband Eduard, in the Hamburg cemetery in Ohlsdorf . The couple's grave is located in the area of ​​chapel 4 in grid square H10, grave no. 270.
